Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Voltron 3D, Denver the Last Dinosaur, and Saber Rider
Founded in 1982 to meet the ever-growing need for the development of quality television entertainment, World Events Productions has continued to be a leader in technological innovation and programming excellence. 2002 marks 20 years that World Events Productions, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, has been on the cutting-edge of top quality entertainment production and international distribution.
World Events aggressively strives to be the leader in television production. The company has created, produced and distributed several award-winning series. Released in 1984, the first of these was Voltron: Defender of the Universe. The series quickly skyrocketed to be the number one children’s program in the United States. Merchandising rapidly followed and more than 100 different Voltron products were on shelves around the world.
Denver the Last Dinosaur, the company’s third production, was an instant hit. This program was recommended by the National Education Association for its engaging, non-violent storylines. World Events also produced Saber Rider and The Star Sheriffs, the first true interactive animated series, and Vytor: The Starfire Champion, an International Film and Video Festival and a New York Festival Award winner.
